Charli XCX Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Preview

Charli XCX is gearing up for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, starting with the satirical film titled The Moment.

Within the project, the artist plays what she refers to as a hell version of her own persona.

It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the star remarked.

She clarified in a discussion: This isn’t a concert film, but the idea stemmed from the expectation to produce one.

A Sneak Peek into The Moment

The first teaser, released on Thursday, mixes real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized off-stage interactions.

The film is directed and co-written by the director, who explained that the story centers on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.
